A COMMUNITY MUSIC FESTIVAL

Northern Current is a free, daylong music festival that’s family friendly and community centered. It will be held in scenic Riverside Park in the village of Saranac Lake, located in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains of northern New York. This year's festival will run 12 to 9:30 p.m. Sept. 4, the Sunday of Labor Day weekend.

The inaugural Northern Current in 2019 took the reins from Hobofest, a beloved community festival held every year on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend for a decade. COVID forced Northern Current to take 2020 off, like so many other events, but organizers are back with a pared-down event in 2021.

Northern Current would usually have an activity area for kids, craft vendors and other activities, but this year will focus on the music with a few food vendors to ensure the safety of our attendees.
